Road Rat Records
Eight years following the Grateful Dead, town to town, living on the road. Then thirty more years of music, sound, and healing. This is what it sounds like from the inside of that life.
Kaulean O'Shaughnessy Morningstar has been writing and recording original music since 1994 — guitar, mandolin, didgeridoo, voice. Seven albums across three decades, from tape recordings in the nineties to the K.O.G. band sessions of 2007 and 2011.
The Road Rat name came from eight years following the Grateful Dead across the country. Town to town, show to show, living out of a vehicle, finding community in music. That kind of life doesn't leave you. It becomes the lens you write through.
A 900-hour certified sound engineer from the Los Angeles Recording Workshop, Kaulean brought that technical precision into her own recordings and eventually into sound healing work — using frequency, vibration, and resonance as medicine. The road and the studio turned out to be the same education.

Thirty-three years of working with sound — on stage, in the studio, and in bodies — eventually becomes something else. The frequencies that move people in a concert hall are the same ones that reorganize tissue and release held patterns. Kaulean's sound healing practice draws on that full lineage.
Sessions are via Zoom and use singing bowls, tuning forks, Reiki, and the Cellular Cymatics framework — Kaulean's original map of how frequency moves through the body: Biofield → Chakras → Channels → Cells.
The Frequency of Being guidebook series and Resonance Therapy Tuner are the take-home tools built on the same system. Nine Solfeggio frequencies, brainwave entrainment, heart coherence tones, and the 89 Hz Water Awakening tone.
